Our service offering is pretty simple and clients come to Copious for one of two reasons – they either want us to design and build a beautiful, technically robust, on brand website or they want us to look into how they can improve their existing website. We are constantly evolving with technology and like to use open source systems, as appropriate, whilst always adhering to web standards and best practice for usability and accessibility.
Web Design and Development
It is not just what we do that counts, it is how we do it.
We are a team of talented designers, developers and marketers who always take a rather well rounded approach to every project. We value the importance of getting the balance of design, technology and marketing right to create the best and most appropriate user experiences. And as with all great websites, the devil is in the detail, so we have robust processes to manage the journey from brief to delivery.
We design and build accessible user-centric websites, which come in all shapes and sizes:
- Content Management Systems
- Bespoke / Database Driven
- Social Media
We work with different technologies to provide as much or as little interaction as our client’s want and continue to work our socks off to make sure that interaction and integration with external websites and software is as accessible as possible:
Integration with external sites such as Twitter, YouTube and Flickr
- Integration with external applications such as interactive maps and online surveys
- Creation of Facebook fan pages, YouTube channels and Flickr accounts for discrete marketing and integration with clients’ main websites
- Accessible Flash
- AJAX as a progressive enhancement
Usability and Accessibility Tests, Reviews and Audits
We take an integrated approach to testing, reviewing and auditing websites for Usability and Accessibility because real site visitors do not distinguish between them. Web Accessibility and Usability are two distinct practices, but in reality, the user experience is singular so they invariably overlap.
We test websites as we build them as a matter of course, but we also offer a range of tests, reviews and audits to assess and make recommendations for existing websites. Our panel of experts and disabled users employ a mix of automated tools and manual testing techniques.
